Spring cleaning anyone?

Since everyone is talking about spring cleaning, I decided to start using up my old stash and scrap photos that have been kept inside my photo box way too long. These photos of Nicole were taken in low light. She was busy chatting on the phone but there was actually no one on the other line. I wanted to capture the moment but had no time to fix the lights etc. So the photos came out grainy. Still these pics should be scrapped. These are the things I want to record and scrapbook about.

Materials: Dream Street Paper, Fancy Pants Kewl Papers, 7 gypsies Paper (tape), Prima Journaling Notebook, BG die-cut, K and Co Mira die-cuts, Marah Johnson paper (crown), Around the Block Felt letters, fastener, MM tag, Prima flowers

I have been taking advantage of the long weekend by scrapping. I finally got to work on the January Kit of Studio Azul and participated in the skecth challenge. I'm late for the deadline though but I'm still glad I finished the layout.

I also did a couple of layouts for my friend Arlene David. One using October Afternoon papers, and another one using the Manhattan line from Autumn Leaves.

In an hour, we will be heading off to Enchanted Kingdom! Yay!! I'm excited. Nicole is too! Hope to get nice shots from the trip.

Happy weekend everyone!

A Whirly Gig and a few sneak peeks...

A few weeks ago, I received a box from Autumn Leaves containing their products launched in Memory Trends 2007. One of the paper lines there is Whirly Gig. Fun colors and prints. Just sharing the layout I made with the paper and some of the stamps they sent.I have been wanting to buy the stitched stamps and a few more but budget would not allow it. So you can just imagine how happy I was to see those stamps.

And here are a few sneak peeks for the March Kit at Badgirlskits. I could not stop playing with the products as soon as I got them. Very different line of papers for me but a welcome change. I really enjoyed creating with this month's kit.

Just Sharing

Just sharing some October Afternoon layouts and projects

This one was made from the OA tags...

This was a bucket for chipboard products. Added some papers, lace, and chipboard and now I use it to hold my chipboard letters and shapes/=.

A page for my friend Cathy. You look great Cathy!

Here is one of my daughter playing with my stamps and acting like a little artist.

Thanks for looking! Have a great day!

A BG Sketch!

Ok so I was jumping up and down when I got the email from Kelly Goree. Yes - THE Kelly Goree! I love her work (who does not! Anyway she sent me an email about doing a layout for the February Basic Grey Newsletter following a sketch. My friend Ria Mojica did this a year ago and we were all excited for her! I'm so happy I got the chance to experience it too. Plus, my layout got to sit beside the artwork of Heather Keller who was a co-DT member of mine from Scraplovers.

I used papers mainly from the Mellow line, and added a little from Romani, Pheobe, and Recess (journaling strips). Other materials: Basic Grey Chipboard and rub-ons, Urban Lily rub-ons, Prima Say It With Jewels, Autumn Leaves buttons.

The Best Of Times

(Iris, Pia, Ria, Sahrie)

The last two years have been the best of times for me in my journey as a scrapbooker. Among the many blessings I have received in the last two years is to be a designer for Scrapbukan and to see it actually end brings both pain and gratitude. I normally know what to say or write when doing my blog entries, but this time, I am just staring at the computer...

I guess it is really hard to let go of something beautiful. Our term as DT for Scrapbukan has come to an end after two beautiful years. It is not very often that one is blessed with a boss as generous, sweet, and supportive as Sahrie. And it is not also very often that one will be teamed up with designers gifted with so much talent whom I now have the privelege of calling my friends. Ria, Pia, it has been great designing with you and I look forward to designing with you again in the future. Tres Marias FOREVER!

Sahrie, thank you for your faith in me. I have said this before and I will say it again... everything started with you. If it was not for your faith in me I would not have dared to accomplish bigger things in the scrapbooking industry. I will always be grateful to you. All the best to Scrapbukan.

In Record Time

I have never scrapped like this before... "In record time" as Wendy (badgirls kit club owner) put it. For some reason, my DT kit got delayed in customs somewhere and arrived at my home a couple of days away from upload date. I thought I would not be able to turn up my work in time. Thank goodness the kit was loaded with beautiful products which made it easier for me to complete the 4 layouts and one project in just under 5 hours. I definitely would not have been able to do that if the kit was not so perfectly coordinated. It made everything quick cause you don't have to think which paper goes where. And I was lucky to have the right pictures for them. I don't think I can do this again. I don't really scrap this fast! It sometimes takes me hours just to decide which paper to use. Then I take several more turning everything around. Anyway Just wanted to share these with you. These are simple layouts but they contain some of my most favorite pictures of my family.

I was lucky to have my camera ready when Nicole started twirling around. I brought her to one of the kid's events we organized at the shopping mall in our area and I was taking pictures of the ballerinas dancing. When I turned to check on her, she was dancing too! She does this all the time, acting, mimicking actions she would see on t.v. repeating lines, singing too!

These pictures were taken in HK Disney. She will be turning three the next day, and everytime we ask her a question, she would often always say... "THREE YEARS OLD!" haha too excited to grow up!

These pics are of Nicole and her cousin Miguel. He is Nicole's favorite! She talks about no one else but Kuya (endearment for older brother) Miguel.

These were taken during our family vacation in Baguio City. Bryan is always so busy working and times like these are rare. He loves Nicole so much and he works so hard for us. This is one of their Daddy and Daughter moments. I was using my zoom lens here and they had no idea I was taking these pictures.
