Missed blog land!

Hi everyone!! I have missed surfing the net and I have missed blog land! We are on vacation at my mother's house for the whole month of May. I am enjoying every minute of it, but the one thing I do hate is the fact that we don't have internet connection there. I'm on a short visit to our home now so I got a chance to sneak in some computer time.

Would like to share these layouts with you...

This is one of my favorite layouts. It shows a picture of my daughter blowing me a kiss. She gives me ten kisses on the cheek everyday and she counts them off with her fingers. So sweet! This was featured on two peas and I only found out about it through the comments! Was so giddy with happiness when I found out about it.

This is a quick page to make. Played with the autumn leaves oval shaped chipboard here... used it as a journaling spot shaped like a tree :)

Here is another one for Prima. Used the new small stamps they just released. I created the text border with the stamp. I love how Prima has come up with a wide range of scrapbook products.

I also love this one. The pictures are one of my favorite shots of Nicole with her Dad. This layout was featured in Becky Fleck's Page Maps for May 2009.

Webster's Backside Challenge

Webster's has come up with a really fun challenge. I am used to hand cutting and lots of layering but I really enjoyed this challenge. Scrappers are asked to create a layout without any hand cutting and too much layering using the backsides of the new websters papers. You can view the details here:
BACKSIDES CONTEST

And here are the two layouts I made for the challenge.

Anam created a FABULOUS sketch for Prima this month! There is room for four photos, along with a HUGE title, and some FUN swirls! To participate simply upload your take on this month's sketch to the Prima Gallery by April 25th (put "April BAP" in the title please). If your layout is chosen as the winner you will receive a Prima paper pack! Open to all countries! Here is my take on the sketch...

And here is another layout I made for Prima. This time using the Duo Stamps. It's a stamp that coordinates with the Times Chipboard Letters and adds a beautiful flourish pattern as a base for the chipboard letter.

My Princess.... My dearest Cheska

These are pictures from the pictorial Cheska had with her sister. Cheska is 2 months old here. I am so happy today! I got an email from Bookoto today announcing that I won the Diva challenge and that I'll be getting my copy of "Designing with Divas" really soon. YAY! AND... my baby Cheska, kept giving me cute smiles today. She has been smiling lately, but today she really went all out on me.

Anyway on to scrapping.. Here is a couple of pages I made for My Little Yellow Bicycle. They sent me a box filled with gorgeous gorgeous new products. And the timing was perfect because one of the new releases included the Baby Safari Line.

This one features the Zinnia line. Lots of oranges and purples and bold prints. Fun!

Finally, here is a page featuring the photos of my friend April's son - David. I created this for Prima's Build a Page for March using the sketch of the talented Anam Stubbington. Papers include the new "Signs of Spring" and "Mommy and Me", as well as rub-ons and stickers from the "Dude" line

"Diva Valentine on www.bookoto.com"

Bookoto is having a post valentine challenge and give-away. They are giving away "Designing With Divas" book! You can visit the site for more details.

Anyway, I would not pass up on the chance to win that book so here is my entry...

I made this layout so that my children would know that I am NOT high maintenance at all. My husband would always joke that I am - but honestly I AM NOT! I don't buy jewelry. In fact I only have a few pieces and that includes my wedding ring already. I am not into designer clothes, bags, or shoes. But I do splurge on food. That is one thing our family indulges in. And so with that - also comes gym memberships and gym outfits... haha... so do you think I'm high maintenance??? Nah - not at all!

My Two Girls

My 4 year old Nicole Breanna as an angel in the nativity play in their school.

Materials: Papers: Webster's Pages; Stamps: Prima, Autumn Leaves, Inkadinkado

My baby Cheska Pauline - only two weeks old here and giving me a sweet smile already...

Nicole is really a big girl now. She used to be afraid of going on kiddie rides alone, but she surprised me when she eagerly rode the kiddie trucks at Star City on her own - not just once but three times in a row!

Materials: All October Afternoon goodies, plus Fancy Pants Overlay

Prima Winner

I asked my husband to give me two numbers from 1 to 80. I planned on having my daughter participate again but since she only knows numbers 1 to 30 now, it would be unfair to those who posted late! LOL! Ok so my DH gave me the number 11 and 30. 11 for Nicole's birthday which is Dec 11, and 30 for Cheska's birthday which is Dec 30.

So the 11th blogger who posted is : CANDY
and the 30th blogger who posted is: Snazzyjazzy

Congratulations and please email me your address. Thanks for playing everyone!
