Prima Build A Page

First of all I want to appologize for being MIA in the blog world, the forums, and the boards. This first trimester thing is not very fun for me right now. I'm always nauseous and sleepy. I can't eat so much but I have to eat every now and then otherwise I feel sick. I miss visiting your blogs and I promise to visit you soon once I'm feeling a bit better. Right now, I have to devote the time I'm ok during the day to taking care of my family and to work.

Anyway, I managed to create one page for Prima this month and it's for the Build-A-Page, using a sketch by the super talented Anam Stubbington!!!

Here is my take. Please visit the Prima blog to see the other beautiful creations by the wonderful DT and I hope you can join in the fun. There are prizes to be won!

Easy To Be Green Contest

Prima's "Easy To Be Green" contest is underway, but there is still plenty of time to dig out your Prima containers and re-purpose them! Here is a direct link to the contest rules: Easy To Be Green Contest Details

Here is something I made from the wooden box of the Naturally Flower collection (507336).I just painted the box white, added some torn strips of the Angelique paper, a few Prima embellishments (Elysee lace, Voila felt, Say It In Crystals, Painterly Petals flowers and Renaissance flowers) and it's done.

Contest is open to legal residents of all countries. And the 1st prize is valued at $600 worth of Prima Products! WOW!

Deadline for entry is June 30, 2008 Midnight PST. By the way, a Prima container must be used in a recognizable fashion and the color green must be included on the project in some manner.

Good luck!

Just sharing some layouts I made for the June Kit of Badgirls. Here is Nicole in her sweetest "Mommy can I?" look. How can I resist right?

This one is special. Her grandma had a bed custom made for her and Nicole loved it. It's her first big girl bed.

And this one is a layout of the DH of my friend Liza who happens to be an amazing scrapper. Nelo is very supportive of Liza in her craft and we admire him for that.

Inspire Me

Hi everyone! First of all thank you to everyone who sent me warm wishes about my pregnancy. I really appreciate it.

I just wanted to share with you that "Inspire Me" the social network site of Websters Pages is launching today. Please come and join us there. Here is the LINK

Here is the first DT layout I created for Websters Pages. I am just in-love with the soft patterns and colors. I cut out part of a patterned paper and used it to look like a die-cut sheet at the back of the lined paper. This is a picture of Nicole early in the morning... still sleepy and fresh from dreaming:)

Other materials: Making Memories metal, Foofala Letter stickers, Prima Hybrid Clock element (Gina Marie Huff)

Hi friends!! I have something to tell you....I SAW...

YAY!!!! It finally happened. I hope I have a boy this time. I'm five weeks pregnant so I'm trying to take it easy now trying to balance everything. I'm also loaded with several events to organize and complete plus of course I NEED to scrap!!! Anyway I'm just really happy. Hope you all have a great day!

By the way, the papers, tape, flowers, bird, and the felt die-cut under the photo are by Prima and this layout is based on a sketch by the super talented Janine Langer!!! The photo itself has some digital elements from Prima Hybrid (A Little Magic by Vera Lim and Painted outline Font by Kim Christensen)

I love to use acrylic paint in my pages but I wanted a more textured look. I recently got a bottle of gel medium and tried to mix equal parts of the medium with paint. The result is paint that goes on thick without sacrificing the color of the paint. I waould like to share with you a layout I made using gel medium and acrylic paint. You can see the texture at the edges of the layout. I also tried this for stamping and I loved the texture and dimension of the stamped image as compared to an image stamped with ink.
